TeenNick’s hosting a week-long Now or Never Marathon starting Friday November 11th, that’ll lead up to Nowhere To Run airing on the 18th.
The only notable thing is the whole Clare looking like she’s about to rip her v-card to shreds. I’m not buying into it yet, not based off of two seconds…this is a TeenNick promo after all.

Zig is the tall guy in the yellow shirt. I can tell he will irritate me because a bunch of girls on tumblr are already shipping him and talking about how much they love the character. Based on 2 seconds. It’s Eli all over again, girls see a cute guy and assume he will be this great character.

Another problem is that fans now have access to the actors on twitter long before they even make their first appearance on the show. So people spend months fangirling over a Degrassi actor and then make it up in their mind that their character is going to be the greatest thing ever (based on literally nothing relevant).

Odds are Clare is going to lose her V-card. It is Degrassi after all. Everyone loses it at some point on that show. I don’t really care if the characters lose it but I do hope they know some people graduate from hs with their v-card intact.

What do people see in “Drake” is a question to me but lol yeah he does get more play than the entire degrassi cast.
I assume Jimmy did at some point (most likely offscreen) kinda like how Ellie, Spinner, Emma, Sean, J.T., Liberty, Jane, etc. lost theirs.

@ miamusikat Headlines and She Will are catchy songs. Not going to lie, I didn’t really get Drake at the start, with his first single Replacement Girl being not very good aside from the couple of bars that were okay.
If you listen to his mixtape So Far Gone, Drake will win you over with his flow. I listen to Uptown (no pun intended) multiple times per day.

There’s nothing wrong with the timeline in that respect: Season 8-Freshman Season 9-Freshman Season 10-Sophomore Now Or Never-Sophomore Season 11.5-Junior; it makes perfect sense.

I really wish that if Clare were to lose her virginity to someone, it would be to Eli.
I know that they’re over, and this isn’t about me being an “EClare” fangirl.
I just thought he was the only one of her boyfriends [between KC and Jake] who genuinely cared about/loved her.
Unlike Jake, Eli and her actually built a friendship before dating. They bonded over him helping her with her parents’ divorce & her helping him get over his hoarding and the death of Julia. [For the record, I’m discounting KC, because I never bought them as a couple].
Jake is okay, and I don’t mind him. I just hope that she shares this with someone who will always love her [and isn’t her step brother, because that’s just weird.]. To me, I think it’s Eli.

I think Clare may try to seduce Jake and it it flops. I can’t wait for the Katie, Marisol and Fiona Queen bee drama. In the interview with Annie and Cristine she says that Imogen helps Fiona with that drama and later become BFF’s and somehow in the intertwine of Eli. Fiona and Imogen there is going to drama also. Back to Clare… I actually understand what she is going through. I think in her eyes what she was taught is a lie. So I think this is a test her faith or she is really confused. This the time where you need your mother to tlk about these feelings but her mother is in her own little world. I know many christain girls who wanted to wait until marriage but they didn’t. They never lost their faith in God. I have a feeling this is a hormonal dream.

I have always hoped that Clare would lose her v-card to Eli. But they won’t be together anytime soon. She needs to find a new guy because KC is a douche who has no idea what the right thing is, Eli is over Clare and I don’t think Clare wants to spend the rest of her life saying her first time was with her step brother that would make the family reunion very awkward. All I really want from now is to become the girl she was when she met Eli or at least the girl from the beginning of the series. This whole mellow dramatic thing is getting on my nerves.

Lol I was eating some Peppermint ice cream cake when all of a sudden the Nowhere to Run Week promo came on. After seeing Clare and her attempts to get it on, I spit the cake out and threw it away. Lol its just nasty, especially considering her and Jake are step-siblings now. Now…I have no clue if it is Jake who Clare is trying to get it on with, but I am guessing it will be. Lol if she does have sex with Jake, I will forever hate Clare.

^ This, so much. Despite the fact that I’m a guy, she USED to be the most relatable character of this current generation (Season 8-present) for me (aside from the whole complete Christianity and uniform-wearing thing). Now, she is trailing far off from her roots to the point where I may have to find a new favorite on the show. This never happened with my favorite characters of the first 2 generations, Joey and Manny. Though they both faced some bumps in the road, they never truly lost sight of who they were… At least not like this.

Not thinking much of her unzipping her shirt. TeenNick loves to trick us so we’ll see. I agree with other commenters though, despite her and Eli seeming over it would make most sense to lose it to him, and not her stepbrother bleck.
Also I’m interested that Fiona is with Katie and Marisol and has straightened hair?! Sort of sad to see her struggling to find her place now that Holly J is gone. Holly J was like her rock.

The possibility of Cake sex is only tolerable if:
1.) They get walked in on by the family, ensuing awesome Edwards-Martin family drama.
2.) Jake stops her/Clare chickens out.
3.) It happens, and Clare immediately regrets it. Possibly followed by a Clare/Alli reunion due to bonding over regretted first-time’s.
But if this is somehow justified as “okay” by the Degrassi writers… I will most likely be taking a long break from this show.

yes, most characters in the show lose their virginity before that graduate, but most people in real life do to. it would be nice to see someone who actually believes in not having sex before marriage leave high school a virgin. but the truth is, sex is the most relevant topic with teenagers, so sex has to be a major plot point for each of the characters at some point in the show

I hope Clare doesn’t lose her v-card to Jake. Every time I see them together on screen I cringe, even if they aren’t in a position of love. I’m a bit biased, but Eli and Clare had chemistry and at least had enough in common to seem believable. I think if she loses her virginity to Eli, it’ll be romantic and special and not just Clare making herself seem useless even more. If she does end up with Eli again, I hope they basically cut Jake from her life completely and have her almost start over again with Eli. Clare seems to be taking everything too fast, which is really very annoying.
